Assistant Secretary Neal McCaleb's decision to restore trust land to the United Auburn Indian Community in California hasn't even become legal but opponents are already promising a lawsuit.

An attorney for a city near the restored land and a group called Citizens for Safer Communities plan to sue once McCaleb's decision is published in the Federal Register. The Bureau of Indian Affairs has announced twice it will take 40 acres of land into trust for the tribe, which had been terminated in 1967.
