The Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohicans from Wisconsin has reached a deal to open a casino in the Catskills region of New York.

The tribe has partnered with Trading Cove Associates, the same group which bankrolled the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut. The partners plan to build a $600 million casino on 350 acres of land, which has to be taken into trust.

The deal leaves one more Catskills casino up for grabs. The St. Regis Mohawk and Park Place Entertainment announced plans over a year ago.

The Oneida Nation is said to be interested in the third casino that has been authorized by the state of New York.
