The state of Oregon on Tuesday filed suit against the Department of Interior over the status of reservation lands for the Confederated Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Tribes.

The land in question is a 98-acre historic village and cemetery which department at first said was not a restored reservation. The decision was reversed last year.

The move prompted yesterday's suit.
