A final decision on the recognition of the Chinook Nation of Washington has again been delayed by the Bush administration.

Tribal chairman Gary Johnson and attorney Dennis Whittlesey criticized the four-month delay. Both said Assistant Secretary Neal McCaleb isn't doing his job and failed to dedicate proper resources to the case.

Secretary of Interior Gale Norton on Tuesday concurred with a memo written by McCaleb to delay a decision by four months.
