Minn. city establishes Indian panel

TUESDAY, MARCH 26, 2002 The mayor of Duluth, Minnesota, has established an American Indian Commission. Mayor Gary Doty appointed William Bird and Tony Looking Elk to the commission and will be seeking nine more members. Membership is open to Indian and non-Indians in the city. American Indians and Alaska Natives comprise the largest minority in the city. Get the Story:
