Without mentioning the tribe by name, the Windsor Town Council in Windsor, California, voted to oppose a reservation for the Lytton Band of Pomo Indians.

The landless tribe is seeking to have land placed into trust for its benefit. Residents oppose the move.

The tribe was to have land placed in trust for a casino but the Senator Harry Reid (D-Nev.), a member of the Indian Affairs Committee, authored a provision in a fiscal year 2002 spending bill which revoked the status.
