A funeral was held in Gallup, New Mexico, on Wednesday for three Navajo children who were allegedly murdered by their mother.

Elvira Charley, 31, didn't attend because she is being held in tribal jail for the New Year's Day incident. In a call to tribal police, she said she shot her children, Ganelle, 11; Jerrel, 10; and Radelle, 9.

Charley faces three federal murder counts.
