A senior Defense Department official was booed at a pro-Israeli rally in Washington, D.C., on Monday as he suggested Palestinians were being hurt by the Middle East standoff.

Deputy Secretary Paul D. Wolfowitz was supportive of Israel in his talk at the National Rally in Solidarity With Israel. An estimated 100,000 turned out for the afternoon march and protest of Palestinian Chairman Yasir Arafat.
