The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday heard arguments in a dispute between tribes in Ecuador against oil giant Texaco.

The tribes contend oil drilling has destroyed their environment. They want the United States to award them more a billion dollars in damages.

A federal judge, however, ruled the case moved to Ecuador, which Texaco wants. The Ecuadorian government and the tribes want the case to stay in the states.
