The Arizona Legislature has passed a bill urging Congress to reauthorize the Indian Health Care Improvement Act.

Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colo.), vice-chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, has introduced a bill to extend the act and make some changes. The Native American Community Organizing Project of Arizona wants provisions to increase health care for urban Indians.
