A 3-year-old boy is in good condition after surviving a night in Alberta, Canada, in zero-degree temperature.

Police from the Blood First Nation, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and other law enforcement agencies had launched a search for the toddler after his father drove off which him in a car. When the car was found, the boy was not in it.

The boy was later found in a field and taken to a hospital where he was treated for hypothermia. He is in the custody of child welfare services who are deciding whether to return him to his mother.
