Members of Alaska's Congressional delegation want the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge opened to oil and gas development but they want it all, not just parts.

Sen. Frank Murkowski (R), the ranking member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and Rep. Don Young, who sits on House Resources, said they oppose any attempts to limit drilling. News sources reported this week that the Department of Interior was considering scaling back development to sway Senators on the fence.

Debate on a stalled energy package is set to begin as early as today. Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.), chairman of the energy panel, and Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D.), are supporting a measure that doesn't allow drilling.
