MONDAY, APRIL 22, 2002

Students from Haskell Indian Nations University took part in a protest of a proposed highway project in Kansas.

More than 100 people marched on Sunday to oppose the development, which would run through wetlands considered sacred by students and alumni. The state of Kansas wants to complete the long-stalled project.
