Thanks to profits from its casino, the Kalispel Tribe of Washington has established an educational institution.

The Camas Institute, named for a root used in tribal culture, has helped tribal members pay for college, get General Education Development certificates and find jobs and internships. The institute has a budget of $1.4 million.
