TUESDAY, JANUARY 29, 2002

The board of the Native American Preparatory School has voted unanimously to close the seven-year-old private New Mexico educational institution.

The board's decision closes the school for the 2002-2003 school year unless someone comes up with funding to keep it open. The campus, located outside of Santa Fe, is going to be sold.

Solutions are being sought to send current students to other prep schools.
