Judge hits Napster progress

APRIL 11, 2001 US District Judge Marilyn Hall Patel on Tuesday criticized Napster for failing to comply with court orders requiring the music-sharing service to cut access to copyrighted works. Patel has appointed an investigator to oversee Napster's progress on the issue. Record companies won the right to force Napster to block access to their client's copyrighted musical works.
