FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2001 "Your Nov. 13 editorial with regard to the trust application by the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe, invites additional information. The Lower Brule Sioux Tribe has said repeatedly that : 1) It will not use the land for gaming; and 2) it would enter into a memorandum of understanding with the city of Oacoma and Lyman County to provide full compensation in lieu of taxes. For whatever reason, Attorney General Mark Barnett continues to ignore these facts. . ." Get the Story:
