No early retirement for AFN elder of year

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2001 Richard Frank is supposed to be retired but you wouldn't notice it from all the work he still does for the Alaska Native community. That's the reason he was chosen Elder of the Year by the Alaska Federation of Natives recently, said one executive. Frank has served as a chief, a village corporation leader and was most recently the director of the Tanana Chiefs Conference's Alcohol and Drug Prevention program. Get the Story:
