TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2001 Jeff Katz: "As a lawyer and former Connecticut resident, I read Jeff Benedict's Nov. 7 commentary with great interest. He addresses the big question: What happens to Foxwoods if the Mashantucket Pequots are no longer recognized as a true Indian tribe? Benedict's answer is realistic and workable." Clark van der Lyke: "It would appear that in reference to tribal recognition, U.S. Rep. Rob Simmons has suddenly found religion on the Indian issue.
