Sixteen American Indian youth, along with eight others from the Twin Cities area in Minnesota, on Tuesday put their traditional Ojibwe canoe in Lake Como, the result of two months of hard work.

The 14-foot canoe was made with no nails and sewn together with spruce roots. The youth made it as part of Urban Boatbuilders, a non-profit group in St. Paul.
