Gover says mascots 'dehumanize'

While in New York to attend a retreat at the Oneida Nation casino, Kevin Gover, head of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, said the use of Indians mascots, logos, and other stereotypical images "dehumanizes" Native Americans.

Gover also said, as tribes become economically and politically more powerful, they have to expect political "dirty tricks."
