Letter: Why change Indian names?

THURSDAY, AUGUST 9, 2001 "I don't see what the big deal is about Native American names used for mascots, creeks, rivers, cities and towns. When these names are given, they are given as an honor. Where do we draw the line with this renaming issue? If it is an insult to be called a Warrior, why isn't it an insult to be called a Patriot or a Rough Rider?" Get the Story:
