AUGUST 31, 2000 Federal recognition of the Eastern Pequot Tribe of Connecticut was the primary focus of a meeting held on Wednesday between the tribe's financial backer, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, and three town leaders. David Rosow, a resort developer, requested the meeting. Blumenthal said no new information about the tribe's recognition petition or the financial plans of the tribe were given. Get the Story:
