TUESDAY, AUGUST 21, 2001 "The sun was just about to disappear over the tops of the steep rocks and foothills that run along the Missouri River when I reached the Little Missouri National Grasslands, the back yard for my aunt Rosie. As I hit the gravel, a huge whirl of dust grabbed onto the bumper of my car and stayed with me until I reached her spread. Just before I made the turn to her ranch, I noticed a sign that read "Poker Jim Cemetery." At a glance and in the dying light, I could just barely make out the tombstones on a ridge above the road. . ." Get the Story:
