MONDAY, AUGUST 13, 2001 "The Federal Bureau of the People Who Were Here First (PWWHF) Affairs says that the Eastern Pequots and the Paucatuck Pequots come from one tribe and would earn recognition sooner than later if they acknowledge their historical kinship. The Easterns have expressed a willingness to do so. The Paucatucks say to hell with recognition, and all it could spawn, if it means conceding to being joined with the Easterns. . ." Get the Story:
