Cherokee linguist dies in N.C.

Noted Cherokee linguist Rev. Robert Henry Bushyhead died on Saturday at the age of 86.

Bushyhead grew up on the Cherokee Reservation in North Carolina. Although he was forbidden to speak his language in school, he remained committeed throughout his life to furthering the Kituwha dialect.
