COMMENTARY: Democrats dope
JULY 21, 2000

Political commentary by David Postman of The Seattle Times says there is a reason behind the apparent lack of local Democratic outcry against the Washington state Republican party's "termination" resolution.

Postman says the Democratic party passed their own interesting resolution during last month's convention. He says they approved a resolution calling for the legalization of marijuana and the sale of it in bars and state liquor stores.

Postman downplays the concept of resolutions altogether, saying they don't make up a party's platform are used to placate "party activists."
