JULY 17, 2000 The Seattle Times in "First a casino, then a bridge," says today that the casino of the Tulalip Tribes in Washington has not only raised money for the tribe but also has built bridges to other communities. Cal Taylor, a Tulalip board member, is now the chairman of the Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce. The editorial says that since the casino's opening in 1992, the tribe has been able to use its money as a bargaining chip.
