Survey: Whites ignorant of inequities

WEDNESDAY, JULY 11, 2001 A national survey of White Americans shows that many are ignorant of the inequities African-Americans face today. Many Whites believe African-Americans are equal in income, jobs, education, and health care, according to a survey conducted by The Washington Post, the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation and Harvard University. African-Americans, as a whole, have made gains but gaps still exist, according to federal statistics. Get the Story:
