MAY 4, 2001 A group of Mashantucket Pequot tribal members and residents of neighboring towns are working with a national production company to produce a play that addresses racism and other issues affecting their communities. The group has been meeting once a month since November. Called Friens and Neighbors, the group of 30 meet at a local church, where various issues like racism, perceived racism, culture, and politics are discussed. Throughout this year, the Sojourn Theatre will be working with the communities to develop the play. Get the Story:
