The U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights is investigating a complaing filed by Deanne Fox, a White Earth Ojibwe mother. She said her two sons were degraded and harrassed by other students at a pep rally for the Win-E-Mac High School in Erskine, Minnesota.

The school was playing a basketball game against the Red Lake Warriors, a team from the Red Lake Reservation. The pep rally featured teachers dressed up as Indians and Cowboys and allegedly remarked that the high school needed to send the Warriors back to the reservation.
