"When I received an e-mail about the Memorial Pow Wow May 27 and 28 at Carlisle, Pa. I remembered my grandfather. The pow wow is a memorial to the Indian students who attended Carlisle Indian Industrial School between 1879 to 1918. My grandfather, Louis Felix who was Santee Sioux, was one of those students. He attended Carlisle as part of their program to 'civilize the Indians.'"
