MARCH 5, 2001 After more than a month of seclusion due to his physical condition, former Navajo Nation President Peter MacDonald was welcomed with a parade through the streets of his Tuba City, Arizona home on Saturday. MacDonald was commuted by former President Clinton on his last day in office. Convicted of federal bribery and conspiracy charges, MacDonald served more than 7 years of his 14-year sentence.
