Students suspended for paint-ball attack

MARCH 27, 2001 Two students who videotaped themselves attacking Alaska Natives with a paint-ball gun were suspended from their Anchorage, Alaska, high school on Monday. The two were suspended for the rest of the year at Chugiak High School. One is the son of a military family, says Lt. Gen. Norton Schwartz, commander of the Alaskan Command, and he has offered an apology to the Alaska Native victims on behalf of the Armed Forces. Since the two are minors, it is not publicly known if they are being charged for the January incidents. Their alleged partner, 20-year-old Charles D. Wiseman, has been charged with misdemeanor assault. Get the Story:
