MARCH 13, 2001 In an editorial today, The New London Day congratulates the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the leaders of three Connecticut towns for discussing their land dispute in public. The paper also congratulates freshman Congressman Rob Simmons (R-Conn) for arranging the meeting. The paper says the meeting showed how democracy is intended to work and that both sides widely avoided getting into a debate over their differences. Get the Story:
