Rocker Nugent won't get key to city

FEBRUARY 2, 2001 Opinionated rocker Ted Nugent won't get a key to the city of Omaha as planned because Mayor Hal Daub on Thursday decided against it after learning of some of Nugent's inflammatory statements. Daub said Nugent's comments on a number of topics were disturbing and offensive. Nugent is an avid hunter, an English-only supporter, and frequently dons Indian headdresses to pay tribute to the country's Native American past. Get the Story:
