Genocide ad stirs controversy

DECEMBER 7, 2000 An advertisement denying the existence of the Jewish Holocaust during World War II has led to a campus-wide discussion on the issue at the Montana State University in Billings. The Committee for Open Debate took out an advertisement in the school's newspaper saying photos of Jewish Holocaust victims were altered and that no evidence exists for other atrocities committed. The organization has taken out similar advertisements in school newspapers throughout the country. In response, student leaders joined with faculty and members of the local Jewish community and held a forum discussing the issue on Wednesday night. Get the Story:
