Group says hate on rise online

NOVEMBER 21, 2000 The Simon Wiesenthal Center on Monday said hate sites online have more than doubled over the past year and number around 3,000. The group found a large increase in hate sites in the United States, which it attributes to broader limitations on hate speech in Europe. The group evaluated about 30,000 sites for content that "overtly denigrates" any group. Get the Story:
