Mandela given Ojibwe pipe

Nelson Mandela, the former South African President, was given a pipe on Monday carved by a member of the Red Lake Ojibwe in Minnesota.

The pipe was carved by Robert Rose Bear. It was presented to Mandela by local leaders of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), who gave Mandela a lifetime achievement award.
