OCTOBER 27, 2000 At a lecture at the University of South Dakota on Thursday night, Oglala Lakota activist and actor Russell Means spoke about the role of women in the world today. Means said most of the world is based on matriarchy. Socities based on patriachy crumble from within, he said. Means apparently didn't address his multiple marriages during the lecture nor his alleged domestic violence disputes, as reported by The Argus Leader. Get the Story:
