OCTOBER 11, 2000

Tune into Native America Calling today for a discussion about the controversy over the celebration of Columbus Day.

Originally scheduled for Monday, October 11, the observed federal holiday, the program had to be moved due to an illness. So today, invited guests, actor Russell Means and educator Glen Morris, who instrumented a peaceful protest of a Columbus Day parade in Denver, Colorado, plan to join host Harlan McKosato in a one hour electronic talking circle.

Columbus landed on the shores of the Americas on October 12, 1492.

The program airs at 1PM Eastern Standard Time. Tune in on your local radio station or on the Internet at the Native America Calling website.
