NOVEMBER 27, 2000 About 1,100 employees of The Seattle Times and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer are on strike and have publishing their own newspaper, the Seattle Union-Record. The strike is entering its first week. Salaries and benefits are a primary focus of the debate. Charges of intimidation are being made against The Seattle Times.
