Tribes getting into golf game

New Mexico's tribes are becoming increasingly interested in golf operations.

Four tribes already operate golf course and one is due to open soon. Two other tribes are working on their own courses.

The courses can fulfill a variety of needs, beyond recreational. Economic value, maintaining the land and preserving water rights are some of the reasons cited by tribes for building courses.
