KTNN News: Navajo Nation school wins golf tourney

MAY 9, 2001 The Shiprock High School women's golf team on the Navajo Nation has won the state of New Mexico's class AAA golf championship, reports Pat Murphy of KTNN. The feat is considerable since this is the first year the team has competed. Held at the Isleta Eagle Golf Course in Isleta Pueblo, the school beat out Socorro to gain the top seat. The team consists of Deanna Harvey, Glynnis Price, Tisharae Begaye and Lisa Begaye. Their two-day total was 746. Socorro's was 787. Relevant Links:
