The Montana Districting and Apportionment Commission on Wednesday approved new districts for the state, including three new House districts with a majority Indian population.

Two of the new districts cross the Rocky Boys Reservation and the Fort Peck Reservation. Another encompasses most of the Blackfeet Reservation. A third still under consideration would include the Flathead Reservation.

The commission is headed by Janine Pease Pretty on Top.
