Secretary of Interior Gale Norton is "softening" her tone on reorganizing Indian trust, Federal Computer Week reports.

After she said her plan to create the Bureau of Indian Trust Assets Management (BITAM) was "superior," she is now stressing working with tribal leaders to discuss and evaluate options. She testified recently at a House appropriations hearing on her new tack.
