Payments to tribes and individual Indians are being delayed but the American public only seems to care about how a Department of Interior shut down has affected their access to information about national parks.

"The public is rightfully getting frustrated," because there is no access to certain web sites, a National Park Service spokesperson in Utah told The Salt Lake Tribune. People are having to resort to using the phone or mail to correspond with the NPS.
