Campbell Inouye no shows at NCAI

The chairman and vice-chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee did not attend the annual convention of the National Congress of American Indians, The Spokesman Review reports today.

Sens. Daniel Inoyue (D-Hawaii and Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colo.), chairman and vice of the committee, were on the agenda for yesterday's opening.

Another committee member, Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) did attend.

The convention is taking place in Spokane, Washington. It ends on Friday.
