When Sharon Wadecki joined the town council in Ledyard, Connecticut, she was all about fighting the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation's bid to seek more trust land.

But Wadecki, a Democrat, has changed. She's interested in fighting the tribe and other issues.

Wadecki is one of several candidates for council whom The New London Day has endorsed. The paper says "progress" has been made in the relationshp between the town and the tribe, but doesn't say the the town has dropped out of talks over land-into-trust.
