Navajos Hopis still split in Ariz.

The Hopi Reservation and the Navajo Reservation will remain in separate congressional districts under a new redistricting map being proposed in Arizona.

Tribal leaders had pressed state officials to keep their reservations separate.

The map, released by the Independent Redistricting Commission on Wednesday, minorities would gain greater voting power in two of eight congressional districts and 10 of 30 legislative districts.
